Michelle Rick is a New York City based street photographer. She was born and raised in Greenwich Village and Soho. She earned her B.A. from Northwestern University as an English Major in Fiction Writing in 1994, and her MFA in Fiction Writing from The New School in 2002. Since then she has worked at Vanity Fair Magazine, New Line/Picturehouse Films, Fox 2000, and Scott Rudin Productions, and freelanced as a writer and photographer for various companies. Her photography has appeared in numerous exhibitions from Berlin to New York, and publications, including The New York Observer, Time Out New York, Grand Life Hotels, NYC & company and the New York Times. She juried the first annual StreetFoto San Francisco International Street Photography Awards in 2016, and the 2019 London Street Photography Contest. Most recently she contributed work to the "Greetings from Coney Island" group show at the Charles P. Sifton Gallery in Brooklyn and the "Women Street Photographers" exhibit at MOMA PS 109 on Manhattan's Upper East Side and in Sofia, Bulgaria.
